The Brighter Side

I received this little story today. I thought I would share it. It is so true we always seem to see it that we have things so bad when really there is someone off worse then we are. A positive attitude will bring you through anything. Not just that but sometimes things are bad because we make them bad. If we only could only look at things differently we would see that really it is not as bad as we think.

THE BRIGHTER SIDE

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked into the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.....Well" she said, " I think I'll braid my hair today?" So she did and she had a wonderful day.
The next day she woke up, looked into the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.......Hmmm' she said, " I think I'll part my hair down the middle today?" So she did and she had a great day.
The next day she woke up, looked into the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.....Well" she said, today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail, " So she did and she had a fun fun day.
The next day she woke up, looked into the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head....YEA!!!!" she exclaimed, " I don't have to fix my hair today!"

Attitude is everything!

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

The Master's Hands

Ecclesiates 3: 11 says. “Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so; people can not see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end.

Growing up, I remember one of the pastors of our church use to sing a song called, “The Touch of the Master's Hands”  This song was originally a classic poem by Myra Brooks Welch, It tells of an old violin being auctioned away. The crowd was thoughtless. The violin was battered and scared, and the auctioneer did not expect to get much out of this old violin. He started the bidding low. “A dollar, then two dollars. Only two dollars????
Suddenly from the back of the room, a gray haired man steps up to the stage. He takes the old violin in his hand. He starts to loosen the stings. He then begins to play the old violin. It is a melody of complete sweetness. An angelic sounds pours out of this battered old violin. The crowd is charmed and overwhelmed the sound of this old battered violin.
When the bidding resumed, the old violin sold that day for three thousand dollars.
The poem continues by saying, “ By many of man with a life out of tune, all battered and scared with sin. Has been auctioned off cheap to the thoughtless crowd. “
Have you seen such a person recently? All he needs it the touch of the masters hand. God is not willing to let anyone perish, but wants everyone to come to a place of repentance.
Next time you see someone all battered and scared do not turn away. Reach out in love. God wants to use us to touch those people's lives.

Lord help us to be your examples and to see the beauty in all things, even where we can't see any.
